Students explore the foundations of American democracy, civic responsibility, and the role citizens play in shaping their communities. WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS - U.S. Capitol - Supreme Court - Library of Congress - National Archives - FBI Experience - Community Service Project - Civic Leadership Challenge & Showcase PROGRAM LOGISTICS - Program Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM - Pick Up/Drop Off: Arlington Central Library Parking Lot (Virginia Square Metro area) - Students will travel together by Metro and public transportation with YDI staff supervision throughout the week. - Students should bring a backpack, refillable water bottle, packed lunch or spending money for lunch, and comfortable walking shoes each day. - Metro transportation costs are included. - Please note that all bags and personal items are subject to security screening at federal buildings and museums.
