Youth Democracy Summit & Civics Fair

Join Youth Democracy Institute on Election Day for a full day of hands-on civic learning, leadership, and youth voice for students in grades 4–12.

Conference Tracks

Civic Foundations | Grades 4–5

Explore how communities work and how young people can make a difference.

Digital Citizenship | Grades 6–8

Build skills to evaluate information, recognize misinformation, communicate responsibly, and use technology for civic participation.

Power Building | Grades 9–12

Explore advocacy, organizing, and coalition-building—and turn ideas into action.

High School Civics Fair

Students in grades 9–12 will develop and present civic-action projects, receive feedback from community leaders, and compete for cash prizes. Students may participate individually or as part of a school or community delegation.

Registration Includes

Full-day Summit participation, age-based conference track, program materials, and a Youth Delegate credential. Students should bring a packed lunch. High school students may also participate in the Civics Fair.

Who Should Attend

Students in grades 4–12 who want to build leadership skills, strengthen their civic knowledge, meet other young leaders, and make a difference in their communities.
