Campers will explore the foundations of American democracy, civic responsibility, and the role citizens play in shaping their communities. WEEKLY SCHEDULE - Monday: Meet & Greet with Rep. Don Beyer staff & Guided Tour of U.S. Capitol - Tuesday: National Archives & Portrait Gallery Tour/Experience - Wednesday: U.S. Supreme Court & Library of Congress Tour - Thursday: American History Museum Tour - Friday: Leadership Challenge & Showcase PROGRAM LOGISTICS - Program Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM - Pick Up/Drop Off: Quincy Park Shelter (adjacent to Arlington Central Library Parking Lot) - Students will travel together by Metro and public transportation with YDI staff supervision throughout the week. - Students should bring a bag lunch in a sealable bag or money to purchase lunch and wear comfortable walking shoes each day. - Metro transportation costs are included. - Please note that all bags and personal items are subject to security screening at federal buildings and museums.
