Overview
The NextGen Leadership Academy (NGLA) is a civic leadership program for youth ages 10–13 that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and inspires action. Through history, government, and community activities, students gain the skills to lead—in school and beyond.
Program Format

After-School Enrichment that brings our civic leadership curriculum directly into school and community settings during the academic year.

Summer Camp offered during summer break, this camp strengthens leadership through interactive projects, civic field trips, and meaningful community engagement.

Break Camps during school closures, including winter break, spring break, teacher workdays, and single-day holidays.

Young Leaders Forum offered semi-annually in the fall and spring, this cohort-based mini academy builds on skills from our camps through intensified exploration of civic and cultural leadership experiences.
Whether it's a single-day experience or a full week, every session is aligned with Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) and grounded in positive youth development best practices.
