About YDI

Youth Democracy Institute (YDI) is a nonpartisan organization preparing young people ages 10–24 to be active participants in civic life. We partner with schools and community organizations to equip students with the civic knowledge, leadership skills, and real‑world experiences needed to lead in their schools, communities, and public life. Through a continuum of programs, YDI is reimagining the civic‑leadership pipeline and expanding equitable pathways into public service careers.
