Join the Youth Democracy Institute (YDI) for a one-day civic leadership adventure to Richmond featuring a guided tour of the Virginia State Capitol, a visit to the Virginia Museum of History & Culture, and hands-on activities that inspire the next generation of civic leaders.

Perfect for students in Grades 6–8 who want to explore Virginia's Capitol build leadership skills and discover how government works.

What to Expect

Tentative Schedule

7:45 a.m. - Check In

8:15 a.m. – Depart Central Library (Arlington, VA)

10:00–11:30 a.m. – Guided Tour: Virginia State Capitol (Richmond, VA)

11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m. – Lunch

12:30–2:00 p.m. – Virginia Museum of History & Culture & Interactive Civics Experience (pending confirmation)

2:00 p.m. – Depart Richmond

Approximately 5:00 p.m. – Return to Central Library (Arlington, VA)
