Summer Camp Week 5: Civic Action Lab

Description

Students explore how ideas become action by identifying community challenges and developing solutions that create positive change. Through hands-on civic experiences and collaborative activities across Washington, DC and Arlington, participants practice leadership, problem-solving, and public speaking skills while learning how individuals and communities can make an impact. PROGRAM LOGISTICS - Program Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM -Pick Up/Drop Off: Arlington Central Library Parking Lot (Virginia Square Metro area) - Students will travel together by Metro and public transportation with YDI staff supervision throughout the week. - Students should bring a backpack, refillable water bottle, packed lunch or spending money for lunch, and comfortable walking shoes each day. - Metro transportation costs are included in the program fee.
