Summer Camp Week 1: Civic Foundations

Description
Students explore the foundations of American democracy through hands-on experiences across Washington, DC and Arlington. The week includes leadership activities, visits to civic institutions, and interactive experiences that help students understand how communities and government work together. PROGRAM LOGISTICS - Program Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM -Pick Up/Drop Off: Arlington Central Library Parking Lot (Virginia Square Metro area) - Students will travel together by Metro and public transportation with YDI staff supervision throughout the week. - Students should bring a backpack, refillable water bottle, packed lunch or spending money for lunch, and comfortable walking shoes each day. - Metro transportation costs are included in the program fee. - Please note that all bags and personal items are subject to security screening at federal buildings and museums.
